COUNTY CUP – Semi Finals

This seasons’ Final will be between Allexton & New Parks and Coalville Town Ravens as they both saw off stiff opposition 2-1. Allexton defeated Harborough Town with goals from Billy Clarke and Brandon Jarrett with Jamie Mead replying for Harborough whilst a George Smith brace, his 2nd coming in the dying seconds of the match, was enough to see off Allexton Eagles for whom Carlos Rodriguez scored.
The Final will be played on Wednesday 8th February 2017 at Holmes Park, County FA Headquarters.

NORTHERN DIVISION

Desford had a 7-3 away victory at Ashby Ivanhoe with Maddison Murrell (5), Ellis Weston and Clinton Mbilinyi scoring. Ashbys’ goals coming from Dion and Masen Robinson and Alex White. Loughborough Dynamo entertained Mansfield Town but it was the later who claimed the points in a 3-1 victory. Joel Cooke (2) and Ben Holmes for the Stags with Ellis Iyayi replying for the Dynamo.

SOUTHERN DIVISION

It’s all tight at the top as 3 teams share top spot. With Harborough Town sidelined due to County Cup exploits, both GNG Elite Development and Aylestone Park joined them on 15 points as they both secured victories. GNG travelled to take on Lutterworth Athletic and had a 3-1 victory thanks to goals from Jonathan DeSilva, Shivang Odedra and an own goal with the Athos reply coming from Aston King. Aylestone Park saw off Leicester Nirvana 2-0 with the goals coming from Shay Beeby and Cory Holdem.
