The First of the Cup Finals are won and the Division Three race is decided

Our first Final the Junior Cup Final was won by Red Hearts Athletico FC in extra time 3-2 against fellow Club side Red Hearts FC.

In a close fought game it looked like the Athletico side was going to run away with it when Steve Curtis put them ahead after 8 mins, but Red Hearts bounced back with a spell of pressure and an OG drew them level on the 22nd minute. The game flowing from end to end saw Red Hearts return the compliment but conceding an OG on the 28 minute to restore Athleticos lead, which remained 2-1 at Half Time.

The second half was going either way but Red Hearts equalised with a cracking goal from Jonjoe Langley on the 75th minute to send the game into extra time.

In the 10th minute of the first period of extra time Tagen Jarvis struck what was to be the winner for Athletico, although Red Hearts pushed to take it to pens but just didn't have enough to get there.

A crowd of over 140 on a sunny afternoon enjoyed a good game of local football.

In Division One Eastern Athletic FC blew the title race wide open again with a 3-1 win over Range Rovers Sports FC and in Division Three Park Regis United FC Clinched the title with a 4-1 win over the Napier FC.
