Summary of the action from Week 8 of NTU's Serie 6-a-side competition

The SERIE 6-a-side league returned after the Christmas break with all six scheduled fixtures taking place on the All Weather Pitch on Clifton Campus.

The 4.00 games saw Le Saux Solid Crew continue their impressive form at the top of the table as the ran out convincing 5-0 winners over Barlows Big Boys. In the second game played at 4pm Tekkerslovakia recovered from the pre-christmas blip that saw them pick up just one point frmo three games as they beat 2 Goal 1 Cup 3-1.

At 4.40 Globo Gym Purple Cobras recorded their first win in three games witha 4-1 victory against fellow mid tablers Schneefers whilst And The Winners Are extended their unbeaten start to the season as they beat Ale Madrid 5-1 to take their fourth consecutive win.

With Ay Bird FC unavailable for their game against Borussia Teeth the sole 5.20 game pitted two title hopefuls against each other in the form of Is Your Motherwell and H What FC. In what proved to be one of the most even sided games seen so far in the Serie this season it was perhaps only right that the final score ended as a 2-2 draw.

Week 9 highlight game is the meeting of second placed And The Winners Are and third placed Is Your Motherwell. Defeat for either could see them lose vital ground in the title race, especially with Le Saux Solid Crew expected to take three points against 2 Goals 1 Cup.
