In the Premier Division Hook dropped their first points of the season and so their top of the table spot when held to a 3-3 draw away to Bramley United.

Tadley Calleva A moved into the Quarter Finals of the Peter Raynbird Cup following their 11-0 win over the struggling Welly Old Boys who have now conceded 76 goals in their nine league and cup matches this season. Despite this Manager Graham Jenkins is determined to carry on although he realizes his team are lacking in experience. They held out for twenty minutes and then it was an unfortunate own goal, put into the net by Martin Wild in trying to clear. By the break Kye Theodore had scored twice and Stephen Burgess had made it 4-0. As Tadley remained on top, Theodore netted five, Burgess three and two for Kieran Monger. It is Basingstoke Royals they will now meet in the Quarter Finals after beating their Division One opponents Bounty United 5-0 at Castle Fields. Although beaten for pace for most of the game, the two opening goals were gifted, felt the Bounty spokesman. There was only nineteen seconds on the clock when some confusion between Brad Neal and Mike Gilham led to Nick Wilcock planting the ball into the left hand corner and then in the 13th Craig Williamson put into his own goal following a corner kick. In the 26th a second own goal, this time Brad Neal after another corner not dealt with. It became 4-0 when Royals broke quickly and Steve Stansbridge finished well and by the 58th minute the best of five came when Steve Horton took a pass from Stansbridge and finished with a stylish shot. The one bright moment for Bounty came when Craig Williamson hit the bar from a free kick, but to be realistic Bounty were outclassed.

Hook went ahead in the 7th minute when Charlie Page netted following a James Westwood corner, but in the 20th a cross from Simon Goff had the Hook defence in a mess and it led to Dave Rees clearance ending up in his own goal. In the second half a powerful header from Sam Cato put Bramley in front but it did not last long for Jon Noakes put away a cross from Westwood to make it 2-2. In the 55th a pass from Cato led to Josh Arthur restoring the Bramley lead, but the game was always close and competitive and a firm header from Noakes, from another Westwood corner saw Hook go home with a point. Trevor Livingstone, the Sherborne manager, felt very despondent after this 5-1 home defeat against the Rising Sun at home. We were poor defensibly throughout, not organized and made it too easy for them, he said. They fell behind after eight minutes when Ben Nicholls netted the first of his four. His brother Sam then planted home a 25 yard free kick for a 2-0 interval lead. By the 68th minute Ben Nicholls had completed his hat trick before Mike Shillingford put away a cross from Sachen Rai for the lone Sherborne reply.

Two of the three Division One matches were postponed as the pitches at Silchester and Berrydown were still unfit and the one to survive at Brighton Hill resulted in the leaders Overton United A being beaten 3-2 by Hampshire Irons. Overton took a 15th minute lead through Joe Lake following a pass from John Sayers, went past three men and took on keeper Jack Rickard. Gus Reis set up the chance for Michael Pemberton to give Overton a two goal cushion as they went into the second half. The Irons come back came in the 60th minute when Craig Hopper netted a pass from James Arnold.and a long throw from Gavin Curry was helped on by Hopper for Alex Brown to level the scores. The winner came in the 80th minute when another throw from Curry led to Arnold playing through for Brown to net again..

In Division Two Basingstoke Athletic moves back to the top of the table following a tough 3-1 win against Basingstoke United. A howler from United keeper James Sallows handed Athletic a 25th minute lead, as he allowed a low ground shot from Dave Trevelion to go through his legs. Ryan Evans made it 2-0, a header at the far post from a Dale Bristow cross for a two goal half time lead. The visitors certainly improved and hit back with a 30 yard volley from Darren Southgate that looped over the keeper. Play remained even with both sides in with a shout until in the 82nd minute when Bristow broke away to score the third. The good run by Labour Club came to a end when they were beaten 2-1 by AFC Aldermaston A whose only other win was back in September. The newly signed Liam Belcher gave Aldermaston a 16th minute lead, but by the 30th Labour were on level terms when a 20 yard shot from Rylan Willows was fumbled into the net by keeper Darren Heath. Although Labour had good chances through Mark Forbes and Cameron George, who also hit the bar, it was Andy Barfoot who found the net from a Paul Smith pass to seal the Aldermaston win Preston Candover and Winklebury Wizards fought out a 5-5 draw, with Preston coming back with three goals in the last 20 minutes after trailing 5-2. This was a replay after the original fixture in September was abandoned after 54 minutes when the unfortunate Lee Garrett broke his leg. Preston were leading 1-0 at the time, but in the latest game they were trailing 3-0 when Scotty Winterbourne struck twice, one from a penalty and Hugo Carlos the third. Michael Fuller made it 3-1 by the break, but Winterbourne put away another penalty to complete his hat trick and lengthen the Wizards lead. Joe Tomlinson then converted a spot kick for Preston, but the recently transferred Ryan Wtts from Overton, came on to score and so giving his team a convincing three goal advantage. It was three booming centers from Ben Coe that brought about the Preston downfall, his first centre was netted by Matty Oram and then Richard Spiers made it 5-4 from another Coe cross and the equalizer came five minutes from time when yet again Coe provided the good ball for Oram to score again. Herriard Sports are not renowned for big goal scorers, but they managed to score six against Sherborne St John Reserves with three in reply. Stuart Minton scored their first from a 40 yard free kick, but in the 12th minute James Price leveled, the cross coming from Andy Carr. Sam Weber restored the Herriard lead following a dazzling run, but again Price scored to level. Two quick goals in the second half, scored by Craig Lewington and Weber saw Herriard 4-2 ahead, but back came Sherborne to score in the 72nd when Mike Shillingford finished off a Connor Perrin pass. There was no further comeback by the visitors as Herriard helped themselves to two more goals through Gary Parker and Matt Hickie
