Four clubs still have a 100% record and three are still looking for their first points after the third round of games.
There is no stopping OLLERTON TOWN who added six more goals to their already impressive total in beating a TEVERSAL side looking pointless. A first minute own goal didn’t help the Tevie cause with Ben Partridge and Gav King both scoring before half time and both completing a brace of goals in the second half. Conor Green made up the 6-0 win.
HUCKNALL TOWN hit second spot with a 5-1 win at INGLES but they had to come from behind and then wait for a late flurry to confirm their win. Bill Snaith put Ingles in front inside four minutes and it took another twelve before Joe Butler levelled things up. And that was how it stayed until eight minutes into the second half when Sam Simms put the visitors ahead, followed quickly by a third from Grant Ryan. Linford Jenkins and Adam Nelson added late goals to seal what looks like a comfortable victory.
SHERWOOD COLLIERY made it three out of three with their win at DUNKIRK, but, like Hucknall had to come from behind after Greg Tobin had given the Boatmen a 16th minute advantage. Tim Gregory levelled on 35, Carter Widdowson put Colliery in front on the hour and a second Tim Gregory goal on 86 completed the scoring.
It was left to a 72nd minute Mitchell Mullins goal to put CLIPSTONE amongst this leading batch. His goal gave his side a slender win at KIMBERLEY MINERS WELFARE.
GRAHAM STREET PRIMS and BARROW TOWN join Teversal at the bottom of the table still pointless. Corby Brown’s first goal for HEANOR TOWN in the 68th minute was enough to settle this basement game and give the Lions their first points, whilst a four goal first half salvo left Prims seeking salvation as RAINWORTH MINERS WELFARE dominated the opening 45 minutes of their game. Ryan Ingram’s penalty started the goals flowing after just nine minutes, and two minutes later he added a second. Joe Naylor made it three with a quarter of an hour on the clock and Julian Topliss completed the scoring ten minutes before the break. Neither side could find the net in the second half.
CLIFTON ALL WHITES fell to their first defeat of the season at home to a vastly improved SHIREBROOK TOWN side who completed a six point haul for the week. Ryan Smith gave Whites a first minute lead, but it was all in vain in the second half when Town levelled through Joe Harris and then Josh Tanner hit the winner 16 minutes from the end.
Goals from Sam Moore on 27 minutes and Gareth Curtis on 75 gave EASTWOOD COMMUNITY a satisfactory 2-0 victory over GEDLING MINERS WELFARE. And BORROWASH VICTORIA picked up their first win of the season through Caleb Finlow’s 70th minute goal at WEST BRIDGFORD.
There’s no stopping BELPER UNITED these days. They followed up last week’s 4-0 win at Rainworth with a 3-1 success at RADFORD. Their character showed through again after the home side had taken a 14th minute lead through Joe Meakin. Two goals in a minute just before the break from James Ozmen and Dylon Garnett put them in control and Josh Wright put the seal on the points with a third six minutes from the end.
