FA YOUTH CUP
Congratulations go to Aylestone Park as they put their name in the hat for the next round with a battling 3-2 away victory over Ilkeston Town, having to come from behind on 2 occasions. The goals coming from Jack Murray, Jake Noble and Alfie Robinson.
They now have a home tie v Bugbrooke St Michaels and this is to be played week commencing 19th October.
Commiserations to Kirby Muxloe as their journey in the competition came to an end as they suffered a 3-2 defeat away at Lincoln United. Kian Burdett and Drew Lillyman with their goals.
The other remaining Leicestershire team, and former League side, Heather St Johns’ also exited the competition as they suffered a 5-2 home defeat to Rugby Town.
NORTHERN DIVISION
A lone Archy Wearmouth strike was enough to see Ashby Ivanhoe gain the points in a 1-0 victory over Mountsorrel Juniors.
Coalville Town Ravens suffered a heavy 10-1 home defeat by Gresley Rovers. The young Moatmens scorers were Max Bosley (2), Tristan Sharp (2), Jonathan Dawkins, Billy Freeborough, Danny Clover, Toby Dupress, Ben Prince and Tim Ryan. The Ravens consolation coming from Joshua Rippin.
SOUTHERN DIVISION
Harborough Town inflicted a heavy 9-1 defeat on GNG Oadby Town with Joey Buckingham (3), Harry Naylor, Sam McAllister, Matteo Falcini, John Tugan, Aaron Wilson and Mitchell Dickman all scoring. GNGs’ consolation coming from Jeevan Bahra.
Leicester Nirvana had a 5-2 away victory over Blaby & Whetstone with the goals coming from Suhaib Gannan (2), Theo Baker (2) and Bilo Da Costa with Blabys’ replies coming from Zak Hiscott and Ethan Taylor.
