FA YOUTH CUP 2ND ROUND QUALIFYING
Unfortunately, the League has only 1 representative in the next round and that is Lutterworth Athletic who had a bye due to the events that happened over the last few days involving Hinckley United, and now have a home tie against Halesowen Town in the next round. Gresley went out 4-1 to Mickleover Sports with Harry Hughes scoring and a few miles up the road Stapenhill hosted Histon and were defeated 4-0. St Andrews travelled to face Ilkeston and they put up a fight as they took their hosts all the way eventually going out on 5-4 on penalties after finishing all square at 3-3 at the end of normal and extra time, with Brady Hickey (2) and Eric Shipley scoring.
NORTHERN DIVISION
Coalville Town travelled to local rivals Ibstock United and returned home with the points in a 5-1 victory. Sam Moore with a treble, Josh Summerfield and Jack Howitt for the Ravens with Ibstocks reply coming from Ayrton Moore. Ashby Ivanhoe had a valuable 3 points as they had a excellent 4-1 away win over Leicester Nirvana, which now sees them as early pace setters at the top of the Division. Tom Nolan, Kerr Horn, Angus Blair Park and James Rushton with the Ashby goals. Samuel Patio replying for Nirvana.
SOUTHERN DIVISION
Aylestone Park Boys had an emphatic 6-1 win over Saffron Dynamo with Callum Armspen (2), Kieran Henfry, Nuno Monterio, Kieran Mackie and Chandler Wiltshire all getting on the score sheet. Harry Thompson with Saffrons reply. Birstall United had a 4-3 home win over Lutterworth Athletic Academy. Jake Simmons (2), Connor Bryne and Ashley Jordan for Birstall with Ryan Wills, Tom Cockram and James Kennedy replying for the Aths Academy. This game also made a little history for the League as 3 female officials took charge of the game. GNG had a 2-1 home win over Blaby & Whetstone Athletic with Mo Tayub and Dyaus Patel finding the net. Blabys reply coming from Liam Griffin.
