Matlock Arc beat Heanor to win the 70s Challenge cup

In the first game Matlock capitalised on a poor defensive pass out to take an early lead but Heanor fought back to have the better of the game. Heanor were unable to convert the chances that came but went very close to an equaliser, denied by the post in the final seconds.
The second game started similar with Matlock again taking an early lead following a defensive mistake. Things then changed as Matlock then took complete control and with Heanor flagging they created many one on one chances although they couldn't improve on the scoreline. The game ended 1-0 and Matlock deservedly lifted the cup.
