Fixtures Frozen
The NAPIT LEAGUE fixture list for Sunday, league and cup, was completely wiped out by the blizzard like conditions and with the end of the season fast approaching the majority of NAPIT LEAGUE sides now face a fixture backlog with mid-week games on both Tuesday and Thursday looking almost inevitable. Hopefully next Sunday things will return to normal with some fascinating games set to take place, non-more so than the Ace Sports ALMA CUP Third Round tie between FC Britannia and Hasland. Both sides have been vying for top spot in NAPIT ONE for most of the season with the latter currently leading Britannia on goal difference, both having thirty-two points although Hasland do have two games in hand. THIRD DIVISION Creswell Black Diamond take on NAPIT ONE Brampton Rovers and have cause for optimism having beaten Hepthorne Lane of the top flight in Round Two.
In the Ace Sports CHATSWORTH CUP Third Round NAPIT FOUR leaders Woodside will fancy their chances of making progress as they take on NAPIT SIX Woodthorpe Inn. In an all NAPIT FOUR clash New Inn Newton take on promotion hopefuls Double Top, whilst AFC Bolsover and Clowne Wanderers Reserves of SIX also clash.
Newbold lead NAPIT SEVEN by six points and they take on divisional rivals Birdholme 2NDS in the Third Round of the ACL Companies Ltd HUTSON CUP. In the league the length of the division and thirty-three points separates the two sides so Newbold go into the game as firm favourites.
In the league Renishaw MW could go second in NAPIT TWO behind Clowne Wanderers if they can beat New Whitt, Midland Hotel will top NAPIT FIVE if they beat Harleys Scarlets whilst Holmebrook Tavern 2NDS who are five points behind leaders Newbold Sports could close the gap to two with a victory over Oxcroft Utd.
