MATCH DAY 31 (MARCH 31st 2024) REPORT.

WYKIN SOCIAL EASE THROUGH IN TRIBUNE CUP
A Matt Burt hat trick helped Premier League Wykin Social to a 7-1 win over League 3 Hinckley Wanderers in the TRIBUNE CHALLENGE CUP. Jess Adcock scored 2 with Charlie Adcock and Jordan Rushton adding the singles. Hinckley put up a brave fight and Kobi Jones managed to grab a consolation.
Newdigate United will face Weddington Athletic for a place in the LEAGUE THREE CHALLENGE CUP FINAL after beating their Bedworth neighbours Bedworth Bank 3-1. Kai Smith sent Newdigate in 1-0 up at half time before Alex Olner’s header equalised for Bank early in the second half but another Kai Smith goal and a goal for Asa Teeling ensured Newdigate of a place in the Semi Final.
The month of March has not been kind to NDSFL LEAGUE ONE leaders Haunchwood Sports. Barwell Cricketers made sure the title race was thrown wide open as they picked up a 3-1 win thanks to 2 Cam Atkinson goals and an Andrew Wooldridge single. Simeon Townsend scored the Haunchwood goal to continue his impressive goal scoring form.
MARK BLAIR FINANCE LEAGUE TWO leaders Athletico Duke remain unbeaten but were held to a 0-0 draw by 4th placed Bermuda Park.
Swan Dive have found some revitalised form of late to throw themselves back into the promotion hunt. This week they put an end to Conny United’s impressive 6 game unbeaten run with a 4-1 win. Will Crowder scored a brace with Nathan Mcinnes and Rhys Dainty the others for Swan Dive. Zion Bray scored the Conny goal.
All 3 of the goals for Ashby Road Sports came from substitutes as they beat Travs 3-2 in a close game. Lewis Dunkley, Connor O’Grady and Matt Mangiante coming off the bench to secure the 3 points. Freddie Wakelin scored both goals for Travs.
Phoenix United hit 8 past Sunnyside with a spectacular effort from the half way line by Lewis Spencer being the pick of the bunch. Josh Smith hit 4, Sam Spencer 2 and an own goal completing the scoring as the game finished 8-0.
There was nothing to separate Saunders Hall and Crows Nest Sports as they played out a 2-2 draw. Liam Dean and Kane Robinson scoring for Saunders. Liam Hill and Daniel Guise found the net for Crows Nest.
Isaac Hendon gave Rumour Mill (Barwell) the lead before Luke Underhill equalised for Attleborough Sports just before half time. Rumour Mill upped their game in the second half, 2 goals from Danny Winterbotham and a brilliant headed goal for Dylan Smith ensured Rumour Mill of a 4-1 win, they sit top of the table in NUNEATON TROPHIES LEAGUE THREE.
Hearty Goodfellow Reserves were on the right end of a 4-3 with Lamb and Flag. Danny Moreton scored 2 with singles from Rikki Wild and Josh Wilks being enough to secure the points for Hearty. George Simmons hit 2 and Jacob Bryan the other for Lamb and Flag.
