A 3-0 win for Basingstoke Royals away to Tadley Calleva A has put them through to the Final for the Basingstoke A Cup,

James Gilham took the spot kick, it was pushed onto the bar by Monger, but Gilham followed up to net the rebound. There was seven booking, four for Tadley and three for Royals.

Sherborne St John won through to the Semi Final of the Peter Raynbird Cup with a 2-1 win after extra time against Division One Twentyten where they will face Hook away in the last four. They should have taken the lead in the first 20 seconds when a poor back pass was intercepted by Ibrahim Waheed who then shot wide with only keeper Jack Nicholson to beat. They paid for this when tin the 20th minute Joe Hill lobbed Darmody from 30 yards when the keeper strayed off his line. Both Alex Izzo and Waheed had efforts cleared off the line before they did equalize in the 60th minute. A corner by Sachin Rai led to Izzo scoring at the back post. Carl Pearson headed wide for Twentyten with a golden opportunity so extra time was played. It was in the first period when Waheed was on the end of an Izzo corner to head the decider.

In the Premier Division the clash between Hook and Rising Sun was called off with the Hook pitch still waterlogged. The one game to be played was at Newfound where Bramley United defeated Welly Old Boys 6-0. The other game in the division was the local derby between North Warnbrough and Hook Reserves. It was really no contest with Hook winning 11-3. The Borough were in the game for the opening half when they were only 4-2 down, but they could not hold the Hook attack when four goals from Charlie Page led the onslaught. David Mohammed gave Hook a second minute lead, but a penalty taken by Jason Williams in the 6th saw Borough level. Stacey Harris restored the Hook lead, but former Hook player Bradley Yates made it 2-2. Los Wright put away a Mohammed comer and an own goal saw Hook two goals ahead. Goals flowed from Page (4), James Foot, and Wright with his second saw them 10-2 down before Richard Matt netted their third. The final goal in this rout came from Dave White in added time.


The big match in Division Two between Bounty United and Basingstoke Athletic did not take place as the Castle Fields pitch was waterlogged and this gave Basingstoke Labour Club the chance to move top of the table after drawing 2-2 with Basingstoke United. Top man Cameron George put Labour ahead in only the first minute when he ran onto a long clearance kick from keeper Sam White. United came back a minute before the break when a long throw from Ryan Bennett found Ash Pearce and his shot deflected past White. United then went ahead in the 65th when a half volley from Joe Cook from a Tyler White proved too good for the keeper, but Labour were always dangerous and only a fine save by James Sallows in the 75th stopped Jack Mead equalizing. Ryland Willows thought he had scored again for Labour when the ball looked to have rebounded out off the staunching, but they did snatch the equalizer when George scored again near the end. Only a fine save by White stopped substitute. Sam Barton scoring the winner in added time when right through and one on one with him. Preston Candover had a 1-0 win over visitors Overton United B and by all accounts Overton are still wondering how they achieved it. It was in the 30th minute when a free kick from Kyle Buckland was headed home by Mark Oram and after this it was Overton dominating play. Chances came and went frequently and when on target many fine saves from keeper Dean Elesgood kept Preston in front. Nathan Bennis and Jamie Smith should have done better with their chances in this one sided game. The AFC Berg revival continued when this week they defeated Winkebury Wizards 5-3 to move out of the bottom two for the first time of the season and this latest success means they have picked up eight points in their last four matches. This was a shock for Wizards who had their eyes on promotion after winning seven matches, but they fell behind in the 8th minute when Matt Goodman scored following a quick corner. Kieran Alleyne then made it 2-0 before a defence splitting ball from Sam Richardson gave Ryan Watts his chance to make it 2-1. Their two goal advantage became three when a poor back pass led to Shane West making it 3-1 at half time. A great save from Simon Edwards stopped Josh Dickens scoring, but the ball fell to Watts and Wizards were back in the game. Berg came back with a Kevin Beaumont goal as Wizards pushed forward and although Watts completed his hat trick as they dominated play, it was Berg who came up with a fifth when Alleyne caught them on then break to net his second. Herriard Sports had a 6-4 win against bottom of the table Sherborne St John Reserves. They took a 4th minute lead when Adam Francis converted a penalty kick. Sherborne were then given a penalty, but John Hamill saved the spot kick from Steve Price, who soon equalized from a Conner Perrin assist. Craig Lewington made it 2-1 to Herriard and by half time they led 4-1, with Stuart Minton and Lewington scoring his second. Price headed his second from a Perrin corner, but Sam Weber went past three men for a commanding 5-2 lead. A late come back from Sherborne brought goals from Andy Carr and Perrin, however the rally did not last and Herriard came up with their sixth when Weber went on another dazzling run to earn maximum points.
