In the Huddersfield FA Challenge Trophy Alex Vickerman hit all four in Netherton Reserves 4-0 win over Yorkshire Amateur League side Lepton Highlanders Reserves.
Once again, the fixture programme was decimated by poor weather with no games taking place in the Premier Division.
Rhys Wharam hit a hattrick for Berry Brow Reserves in their 4-3 win over Wooldale Wanderers with Kyle Walton completing the scoring for Berry Brow. The win saw Berry Brow Reserves move up to second place in Division 1 on goal difference. Cumberworth beat Holme Valley Academicals 5-0 with goals from Chris Parker, Ian Ogoli (two), Arron Smith and Harry Stubbs.
In Division 2 Holmbridge Reserves drew 4-4 with Huddersfield Laund Hill to halt a run of poor form and stay in second place. Laund Hill who stay in third place with games in hand had Joe Wadsworth, Manjit Cahal, Joshua Heeley and Lee Wood on the scoresheet. St. Columba’s retained top spot going into the New Year with a fine 5-1 win over Britannia Sports Reserves. Adam Belgrave, Ben Murray, Vinny O’Shea, Scott Holmes and Simon Bushe-Bostock scoring the goals for the Saints.
Honley Reserves moved up to second place in Division 4 following their 4-1 win over St. Columba’s Reserves with goals from Tom Booth, Huey Burchill, Sam Mannion and Louis Davison. Darryl Camp scored a consolation for St. Columba’s. Daniel Bradley, Courtney Allert, James Wilkinson and Moreblessed Chitima scored for Almondbury Woolpack Reserves in their 4-4 draw with Brook Motors.
In Division 5 Fenton United beat Mount Reserves 3-2 with Reece Moore and Tristan Samuda scoring for Mount. Cumberworth A won their first point of the season in a 5-5 draw with Slaithwaite United Reserves with goals from Kieron Baker, Keon Wong, Jack Harrison, Tom Swift and Darren Williams. Lester Lumb, Zac Sewell, Joe Meade, Arron Kelly and James Edwards scored for Slowit.
In the Huddersfield FA Challenge Cup Kirkburton were beaten by Collegians from the Yorkshire Amateur League Premier Division, 4-0.
Newsome Reserves knocked Brighouse Athletic out of the Huddersfield FA Challenge Trophy winning 3-1 with goals from Eddie Hamlett (two) and Devonte Fleary-Gayle. Kirkheaton Rovers Reserves beat Heywood Irish Centre 5-0 with goals from Cavan Joyce-Smith, Ryan Buckley, Kyle Thomas (two) and Waqar Uddin. Alex Vickerman hit all four in Netherton Reserves 4-0 win over Yorkshire Amateur League side Lepton Highlanders Reserves.
