The Hampshire FA Coach Development - Coaching in the Female Game Initiative aims to increase the number of Level 2 qualified coaches working in the female grassroots game across the County. The Level 2 Course is for anyone aged 16+ who has completed the 1st4Sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football, is actively involved in coaching football and is keen to develop their coaching skills and knowledge. The course content ranges from practical sessions around the principals of attacking and defending to theory modules focussed on football fitness and the coaching process.
In 2010 we will be running our Coaching in the Female Game Initiative. The project will include the delivery of a Level 2 taster day followed by the 1st4Sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football for coaches who are specifically working with female players. As part of the initiative the coaches will receive free membership to the Hampshire FA Coaches Association and gain access to the Hampshire FA Girls Centre of Excellence training sessions and coaches. The course will take place at Testwood Sports College, Southampton, with the taster day being held at Winklebury Football Complex, Basingstoke.
Dates:
Sunday 23rd May 2010 - Level 2 Taster Day - Winklebury
Tuesday 1st - Sunday 6th June 2010 - Level 2 Course - Testwood
Sunday 29th September & Sunday 31st October 2010 - Level 2 Continuation Days - Testwood
Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th December 2010 - Final Assessment - Testwood

There are 16 places available at a cost of £175 per candidate and places will be allocated via applications on a first come first serve basis.
