Pitch Requests

Dear Club Secretaries The formulation of the fixtures is an extremely time-consuming process, and we cannot possibly take into account every Club's specific requirements when the fixtures are produced.

Additionally, this season, there is the further complication of utilising the Full-Time automated system when issuing fixtures.

Clubs are aware of the season dates which are set at the AGM and the onus is on the Club to ensure they can fulfil their fixtures. In an ideal world, reversal of fixtures will be possible but, if not, it is the home Club's responsibility to make alternative pitch arrangements. In previous seasons, we have had requests from BOTH Clubs not to schedule home fixtures and, of course, this is just not feasible.

These changes cannot be made when the fixtures are formulated (we would be here forever!) but the relevant Fixture Secretaries (and, hopefully, the opposition) will try to accommodate your requests as far as possible.

There is always a flurry of similar requests as we approach the start of the season and this has to be our standard response. I'm sure you can appreciate the time and effort expended in getting the season up and running so I'm afraid that specific Club requests cannot be entertained.

Karen Bailey
