Summary of the action from Week 1 of NTU's Serie 6-a-side competition

The second season of NTU's Serie 6-a-side league kicked off on 18th October with the league having grown in size from ten to twelve teams, with the sides making their debuts in the league.

Only one game took place in the 4.00 pm kick offs after Globo Gym Purple Cobras were forced to withdraw from their game against Le Saux Solid Crew, handing the latter a 3-0 win. The game that did take place saw late entrants Tekkersolvakia beat fellow new side Barlow's Big Boys 6-1.

4.40 pm saw four more teams new to the league looking to make their mark. H What FC made a statement of their intent for the league with a comprehensive 4-0 win against Ale Madrid, whilst in the most closely fought game of the day Scheefers narrowly edged Borussia Teeth 4-3.

5.20's games featured the two teams returning to the league from the 2012/13 season. 2 Goals 1 Cup kicked of their campaign with a 5-2 defeat to And The Winners Are..., whilst Is Your Motherwell (formerly known as Cease Hiders) suffered a 3-2 narrow defeat to Ay Bird FC.

Week 2 should see all twelve teams in action, with the highlight games being a match between two of the winners from Week 1, And The Winners Are and Schneefers, and a match between two old foes as 2 Goals 1 Cup face Is Your Motherwell.
