Shaun Clarke Hat-Trick sets up win for WITHERLEY UTD FC
Current BOND STREET TROPHIES PREMIER LEAGUE Champions Poplar Athletic started their season with a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Witherley United, thanks to a Shaun Clarke hat-trick and singles from Jack Price and Luke Taylor.
Frank Parker came from behind to see off Ambleside thanks to a late winner from Kyle Crawford, Sol McCann equalised after Matthew Hart gave put the visitors in front.
Wykin Social hit 6 as they comfortably beat Bedworth Bank 6-1 with 2 a piece from Nathan Astill and Jake Brown, Charlie Adcock and Reece Massey adding the singles. Jamie Matthews scored the Bank consolation.
Haunchwood Sports top scored in LEAGUE ONE as the beat Ambleside Res 6-2. A Mark Williams hat-trick and goals from Oliver Hawker, Brandon Line and Simeon Townsend secured the points for Haunchwood. Wasim Rashid and Lee Wilkins replied for Ambleside.
Barwell Cricketers started life in LEAGUE ONE with a 2-1 victory over Chetwynd Phoenix thanks to a Tom Gault goal and an own goal. Daniel Davies scored the Chetwynd goal. Bedworth Liberal captured a 4-1 win over Attleborough Royal Oak thanks to a Reece Hoban hat-trick, Michael Friel with the other. Daniel Edmund scores for the Oak.
A brace from Michael Sadler and Ross Thacker strike was not enough to secure the points vs Hearty Goodfellow as 2 from Liam Watts and 1 from Charlie Watts ensured a share of the spoils.
Swan Dive made it 2 in 2 as they beat Conny United 5-1. Sam Fenwick with a brace and goals from Ashley Gilder, Nathan Mcinnes and Declan MacAulay. Keiran Colman-Smith with the Conny goal. A Jordan Bates hat-trick ensured Bermuda Park also keep a 100% record with a 4-2 win over Ashby Road Sports. Steven Pywell added the single. Craig Chatburn and Ryan Oswald with Ashby Road’s replies.
Goals from Thomas Scott and Freddie Wakelin wasn’t enough to stop Travs FC falling to their first defeat of the season as Bedworth Ex-Servicemen won 4-2 thanks to goals from Ethan Baynham, Dean Ward, Harvey Westwood and an own goal. Saunders Hall ran out 3-1 winners over Sunnyside with goals from Matthew Crowshaw, Liam Dean and Kyle Page.
Luke Dunn and Jordan Carpenter scored for Grendon but goals from Kaine Finch and Braydon York for Athletico Duke made sure of a 2-2 draw
A Josh Hooking's brace and singles from Elliot Hooking's and Lewis Spencer made sure of a 4-0 win for Phoenix United over Witherley United Reserves.
SS Bulls Head went top of NUNEATON TROPHIES LEAGUE 3 as they eased to a 7-0 victory over Earl Shilton Town with goals from a Jarrod Stone hat-trick, Ryan Brightwell brace with Ashley Harris and Josh Atkinson adding the singles.
Rumour Mill (Barwell) tasted defeat for the first time this season as Bedworth Bank Reserves ran out 3-2 winners thanks to goals from Zak Bhara, Joe Brown and Liam Roberts. Joe Randle and Danny Winterbotham scored the Rumour Mill goals.
Newdigate United saw off Hinckley Wanderers 5-3, goals coming from a Tom Noon Brace, D’lanie James, Vik Persaud and Kai Smith. Danny Hounslea, Jamie Row and Dean Croasdale replied for the Hinckley side.
Hearty Goodfellow Reserves picked up their first win of the season thanks to a 5-2 win over Attleborough Royal Oak Reserves. Rio Ginnelly and Travis Atkins with 2 a piece and an Aidan Barrow goal secured the points for Hearty. Lewis Stewart got both goals for the Oak.
Attleborough Sports took the lead thanks to a Steve Thomas goal but Ronnie Spencer replied with a stunning left footed volley to equalise and rescue a point as the game ended 1-1.
