Phasing out of deliberate heading in youth football

The FA have announced today (17 May 2024) that deliberate heading will be phased out in youth football at U7-U11 over the next three seasons.

This will done in three stages:

2024-25 U7-U9
2025-26 U10
2026-27 U11

In addition, throw ins will be replaced with kick-ins and dribble-ins at the same age groups (phased adoption).
