It was the second round of the Hampshire A and B Cups and three of the ties went to penalties before being resolved.

Bramley United entertained Warash Wasps from Southampton and won through 5-4 after a shoot out with the scores level 2-2 at 90 minutes. United were trailing 2-0 after conceding an early penalty and then Warash netted again two minutes into the second half. Within five minutes Bramley were level when first Les Woods headed home a Simon Goff free kick and then when a corner taken by Goff not cleared well, Stuart Leddy fired home from 25 yards. In the shoot out Sam Cato, Arron Burt and Leddy converted. Jake Lear saved the fourth from Warsash and from the other Bramley penalties Goff and Ben Squibb made no mistake as it ended 5-4 in their favour. Rising Sun DC played Bournemouth Manor Reserves and won through 4-3 on penalties after being level 2-2 at full time. It was not until the 60th minute before they could break the deadlock when Adam Aimable put away a cross from Ben Searle. Ben Nicholls then had his penalty kick saved but made amends by making it 2-0 in the 75th. Manor hit back to draw level which meant a shootout. Gordon Birch missed the first for Rising Sun, but conversions by Lee Chambers, Aimable, Lorne Howard and the decider from Jon Richardson. Torren Kirrage in the home goal pulled off two good spot kicks saves to see them through the third round. Tadley Calleva A traveled to the IOW and after drawing 3-3 at 90 minutes made their exit after falling in the shootout 3-1.
Hook who are setting the pace on top of the Premier Division, found Baughurst AFC, who compete in the Reading League, more difficult than expected but came home 3-1 winners in the end. They eventually took the lead from an own goal following a Peter Pike corner kick, but Baughurst leveled when Tim Hearson unluckily put into his own net for an own goal and in this period only an outstanding clearance by Phil Haig stopped a second. Andy Parker restored the lead from a Pete Silvester cross and the tie was put to bed when Tom Davies, having his first start since breaking his leg, scored the third. Hampshire Irons returned successful following their trip to the Island by beating Brading Reserves 2-0. A good move between Craig Hopper and Tom Chant led to a cool finish from James Arnold for the first after 20 minutes and after dominating the game the second came in the 75th when Kieran Dent got behind the defence and pulled the ball back for Chris Dobbie to score the second. .Overton United A made their exit after losing 4-2 away to Rushmoor Community away. They took a fifteenth minute lead when John Gurner found Nathan Bennis who scored from the edge of the box. Rushmoor drew level, but again Gurney found Bennis and he cleverly lobbed the keeper from 20 yards out to lead again. Things went wrong after this when they conceded three times to lose 4-2. Twentyten did well to go through against Andover League club Sutton Scotney, winning 4-3 In only the third minute Tim Wright played through for Joe Hill to control well and put Twentyten ahead and in the 35th minute Hill made it 2-0. Scotney came back with a goal just before half time and it was not until the 70th when Jake Tanner made it 3-1 from a direct free kick. Two minutes later it became 3-2 as Scotney were not finished, but Gordon Wainwright soon restored the two goal advantage. The long throws employed by the visitors had Twentyten in trouble throughout and it led to them scoring a third with four minutes to play, but no further scares as Twentyten hung on after this. Hook Reserves are through after beating visitors from the IOW Binstead & Cob Reserves 3-0. It was almost half time when Jamie Foot scored the first from a 22 yard free kick. A five man move in the 62nd ended with Jack McKee lobbing the keeper for the second and they always remained in control and in the 89th minute a free kick taken by Will Hill was deflected in for an own goal. On the down side, North Warnborough 2014 were beaten 3-0 by IOW visitors Whitecroft & Barton Reserves. Welly Old Boys played Sherborne St John away and an 18-0 defeat was the result. The Welly manager Graham Jenkins was furious with the commitment of some of his players showed. We had thirteen players this week and when things went wrong and goals began to come thick and fast three of them had had enough and walked off leaving us with ten to finish the game. Despite this he is determined to battle on and hopefully complete the season. For the record Alex Izzo and Tom Brickley scored four apiece. Tobi Judd (3), Dan Hamlin (2). In the Hampshire Junior B Cup only one of the three teams competing won through and that was Basingstoke Athletic who has high hopes of going even further. They were playing AFC Wootton at Brighton Hill and ended up 4-2 winners. It was Tobie Hyde giving them a tenth minute lead following good play and centre from Dale Bristow. And it was Bristow at the back post to put away the Ryan Evans cross for the second. Tobie Hyde then scored his second for a three goals lead. Wootton did pull a goal back but it was not long before a good run by Hyde led to Bristow heading the fourth. A late rally from the Islanders made it 4-2, but the result was really never in doubt. Winklebury Wizards suffered their first defeat of the season when beaten 2-1 by Island visitors Bembridge Reserves. They fell behind when a 25 yards shot was too good for the keeper but after the break substitute Robson Peibira went on a solo run and equalized in the 52nd minute. After this it was attack after attack but Wizards were unable to break the Bembridge defence and they conceded again with a ball over the top that caught them napping. More attacks from Wizards, but the closest they came was in the 80th minute when Daniel Goodyear hit the post. Herriard Sports played well against Crofton Saints, but in the end were beaten 4-2 at home. It was in the 12th minute when Dan Powell broke through to give Saints the lead, but Craig Lewington lobbed the keeper to see Herriard level in the 42nd but a minute before the break Powell beat keeper John Hamlin from a 40 yard free kick. Luke Wyman made it 3-1 to the visitors, but Herriard came again with Lewington scoring his second, set up by Sam Weber, who was unlucky when his hot shot in the 80th was cleared off the line. The fourth for Bembridge came when Wyman broke through again to net his second.
