A round-up of the action from Week 7 of the SERIE 6-A-Side League

Week 7 of the SERIE again saw only three of the four scheduled fixtures played as Trent Architects & Peverell Plebs were both unable to fulfill their fixture, which now now be rescheduled to one of the weeks after Easter.

Both SERIE A games did take place though on Friday night. The first match of the day saw Scoregasm Japan play Destiny for the second time this year, with the two teams having drawn 3-3 in their previous encounter in SERIE C1. This time round the game proved to be a physical encounter that ultimatley saw Scoregasm Japan finish the game on the right side of a 3-0 scoreline. The second in SERIE A saw Defenders Assemble, who had been impressive in beating Scoregasm Japan in Week 6, take on Egypt FC, who were playing their first game in SERIE A following their Bye Week in Week 6. The game had originally been anticipated as a close encounter, however a pre-game Futsal session appeared to have taken its toll on Egypt, and Defenders Assemble showed no mercy in racking up an 11-0 scoreline, the biggest winning margin recorded by any NTU team in any league this season.

The single game in SERIE B saw Cease Hiders looking to bounce back fromt heir narrow defeat to 2 Goal 1 Cup in Week 6 when they played Titus Bramble's Frisky Fingers. Despite early pressure by Cease Hiders, Titus were able to score with their first goal bound effort and then maintain this lead under heavy pressure through to the end of the game. The result sees Titus move three points clear at the top of SERIE B.

With the SERIE leagues now going into a three week break over the Easter period, the next fixtures will take place on 12/4/13. In SERIE A league leaders Defenders Assemble play old foes Ajax Trees Down, who were the only team to beat them in the SERIE C seeding perios, whilst Egypt FC will be looking to bounce back when they meet Scoregasm Japan, who they beat 1-0 in their own SERIE C seeding group. SERIE B sees Peverell Plebs looking to finally open their account for the season against Titus Bramble's Frisky Fingers, whilst Trent Architects will be looking to kick start their season when they play 2 Goals 1 Cup.
