A preview of this weekends matches as the Chris Sear Memorial Cup and Shield get underway.
Kings United vs TWS Cramptons – St Lukes 10.30am
The top two teams in the Premier Division face off against each other as the Chris Sear Memorial Cup gets underway. Kings will again be without Ant Harris as he serves the last match of his ban.
19th Hole vs Lesters Athletic – Viking Fields 10.30am
Lesters Athletic have made an impressive start to the season, winning both of their league fixtures and they face a 19th Hole side that picked up their first win of the season last Sunday.
Lanthorne vs Frames United – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
These two teams meet again having faced each other on the opening day of the season which saw Lanthorne record a narrow 2-1 victory.
Monkton vs Counting House – Monkton Recreation Ground 10.30am
Monkton will want to put a bad start to the league campaign behind them when they face Premier Division side Counting House. Two successive defeats see them without a point this season and they face Counting House who picked up a point in their only game to date.
Red Arrows vs Macies – Sandwich Technology School 10.30am
Two wins from two matches, fourteen goals scored, and none conceded is a dream start for Red Arrows, they’ll want to take this form into this Competition and host a Macies side that has recorded one win and one defeat from their two matches. Red Arrows striker Lukasz Olubek, is the current league top scorer with six goals already this season.
Windmill vs Hussar – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
Rivals from the First Division last season come face to face again early on in this campaign at Jacky Bakers. Windmill, now plying their trade in the Premier Division, have a draw and a defeat so whilst Hussar currently sit joint top of the First Division with two wins from their two matches.
Aussie Arms vs Easy Scaff – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
A break from the league for both teams as they begin their Chris Sear Memorial Shield campaign. Aussie have had a tough start with two defeats whilst Easy Scaff have picked up three points from their two matches.
Franklins vs The Vale – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
Two of the fancied teams in the second division meet at Jacky Bakers, The Vale have had a mixed start as they recorded a great 6-0 opening day win but followed that with a 6-3 defeat last Sunday. Franklins have just the one point on the board so far and this came against league leaders Prince Albert. Twenty-two goals have been scored in these two teams matches so far, so this promises to be a good game. Second Division top scorer, David Crane, will be one to keep an eye on.
Garden Bar vs Thanet Athletic – Jacky Bakers10.30am
A great result last week for Garden Bar will see them enter this competition in high spirits but face a tough challenge against Thanet Athletic who picked up a point last Sunday in their first match of the season. Charlie Jones misses out for Garden Bar as he completes his two-match ban.
Northwood vs Westwood – Baypoint 10.30am
Two sides yet to register a point go head-to-head at Baypoint. Northwood fell to a 4-1 defeat last week whilst Westwood suffered a heavy 8-0 defeat at the hands of leaders Red Arrows.
Prince Albert vs Westgate Social Club – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
Second Division leaders face a stern test when they come against First Division side Westgate Social Club. Four points from six so far sees Prince Albert top the fledging table whilst Westgate Social Club sit fourth having also taken four points from their first two matches.
Sandwich Town vs Shrimpos – Baypoint 10.30am
Sandwich Town sit joint top of the second division after picking up four points from their two opening matches of the season, they host a Shrimpos side that won it’s only match this season so far.

How Things Are Going So Far

The last weekend before the Festive break saw a watered-down fixtures schedule as several teams had booked the weekend off for their Christmas parties.
