Explains the Ladder Competitions providing additional fixtures on free dates. Fixtures already scheduled during this period as 'Other' fixtures may be re-designated as Ladder Fixtures.
Bearing in mind fixture backlogs will not affect every Team, additional Ladder Competitions separate from normal League Divisions and Cups will start in January to fill any free dates not required for main Competition fixtures.
Suitable Ladder fixtures will be arranged by the League each week to schedule as many Teams as possible who do not have a normal League or Cup fixture that week.
Main Division and Cup fixtures take priority and may displace a Ladder fixture if this is the most suitable date for the main fixture.
All Teams may be scheduled Ladder fixtures from time to time, how often depends on a Team’s progress in completing normal League and Cup fixtures and the availability of suitable opponents.
There will be one Fixture Ladder created per age group to include all Teams who play any Ladder fixtures in that age group. Some Teams may not play any Ladder fixtures if they have a large backlog of League fixtures.
Ladder fixtures will only be scheduled against suitable opponents as determined by the League.
Points awarded for a Ladder fixture are win 3, draw 1, loss 0, playing a fixture against an opponent from a higher Division 1 (if draw or loss).
Draws are permitted in a Ladder fixture, no extra time or penalties.
Points will only be awarded if a Ladder fixture is actually played.
Teams responsible for a late postponement default categorised under the League postponement policy may have Ladder points deducted as follows, late postponement default – 1, very late postponement default – 3.
The Ladder Competitions may be viewed under the Cup/Competition dropdown menu in Full-Time.
The Fixture Ladder is to facilitate fixtures. Teams who play a minimum of 4 Ladder fixtures with at least half of their fixtures played against Teams from the same or a higher Division will be placed in the Final Ladder.
A Final Ladder will be compiled for an age group if a minimum of 6 Teams play the minimum number of 4 fixtures to achieve a place in the Final Ladder.
Final Ladder positions will be determined in the first instance on points per game played, not total points won. Then in the event of a tie, PPG minus 'Higher Opponent' points in the calculation, then total points won, then total points won minus 'Higher Opponent' points, then management discretion.
'Other' friendlies with internal or external opponents may also be added to fill free dates if there are no suitable Ladder fixtures that can be scheduled.
