A penalty shoot-out settles the U15 Cup competition.
Morley Glen Juniors and Gildersome Spurs Juniors produced an excellent Final for the 228 spectators in attendance.
The first half produced good football from both sides with committed tackling and good use of space on the large pitch at Ingfield. It was Gildersome who scored first, at the end of the half but Morley bounced back with an equaliser early in the second. Both teams continued to battle until Referee, Geoff Wilson called time and a penalty shoot out beckoned.
Both teams missed one of their five penalties and so it continued as sudden death until penalty number eight for Morley was saved and Gildersome converted to win the Blackburn Cup for the second time in their history.
The presentation was conducted by Heavy Woollen FA Council member and Huddersfield Junior League Chairman, David Hague.
The Association would like to thank all spectators for their support.
