Important 2024-25 Season Details

Important details for this coming season
KO Times
U7 – U12 – (including the U11 Trophy event matches) between 9:30am and 2PM
U13-U16 - KO at 2pm unless mutually agreed otherwise – The Fixture and referee appointments secretaries must be notified of intention to KO at any other time then 2pm
U12 Bournemouth Cup Matches - KO at 2pm
Mid-week Fixtures – These can be played any day excluding a Saturday in the week they are on Full Time for or before if mutually agreed by both teams and the fixture Secretary notified via the club or clubs fixture Secretary. The league must be given at least 7 days’ notice if a referee is appointed, or we may refuse a change of date request.
Postponing a game- Please notify the opposition (and fixture secretary) as soon as possible, please ensure they have received the messaged and replied if not please call the opposition to confirm.
DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD / School Trips
Schools do not arrange DOE or school Ski trips 2 to 3 days before they are due to happen! Most are organised at least a few months in advance and notice given to parents to start paying for them months in advance. Where players are involved in DOE activities or planned school trips, thus making them unavailable for Sunday football, the league must be given a minimum of 4 weeks notice via the Club secretary with all the details required on headed paper / email. This also applies to the County Cup
BYFL Free Weekends / Playing Calendar – Our only non BYFL fixture weekend dates are 22nd and 29th of December 2024, and the 20th April 2025. County FA will also follow this regarding their County Cup fixtures. All other dates may have fixtures arranged.
Please kindly note if a date is currently showing as free (apart from the above dates) this does NOT mean you may not have a game. A fixture may be arranged for that date later on.
BYFL League and CUP Games – Please ensure All managers involved in these competitions have their own copy of the handbook to hand on match day
BYFL Cups NO Extra time will be played, the match shall be decided by penalty kicks.
Please ensure that all your Managers have a copy of the handbook with them on match days to refer to incase they are not sure of the Rules, especially surrounding extra time (None!) and playing ½ or ¼ in their respective age groups.
Please kindly remember ALL communication to the league officers MUST go through the club Secretary or Fixture Secretary.
