The match at Settle was played throughout on a very cold but with fine weather in front of a bumper and vociferous crowd.

The pitch was in excellent condition and chances were at a minimum throughout the first half.Barnoldswick took the lead straight from the kick-off on the restart and held the upper hand as the match progressed.However, Skipton kept in the game and battled hard and were not daunted by their higher grade opponents.With ten minutes remaining Town equalised when their substitute tapped the ball home following a cross.With the score remaining at 1-1,the game went to penalties,and Skipton Town were victorious 5-4,to send their supporters wild with excitement."
